One day a mom went to sleep at the middle of night, she thought she heard noises and saw something but decided her eyes were getting messed up.
The next day her daughter was missing and she fretted. 10 minutes later she got a phone call saying “I have your daughter.”
Guess what happened: The daughter was playing hide and seek. And her guy friend was the one who called her.

I like the sad romantic one about the Chinese bell maker who forbade his daughter to marry one below her station. In desperation, she throws herself into the vat of metal bells are cast from at her father’s foundry. When the bells made from that metal ring at night, you can hear the girl’s voice calling the name of her loved one. It drove her father mad.
