Post the picture on a place like Photo bucket and link it to your question. I would appear that there are a lot of gifted people right here on YA.

I am a paranormal investigator and a photographic expert. You can send me an email with a scanned copy of the photograph and I will give you my best opinion. Scan it in as large a file as you can and include details on camera make and model, time of day, sun/light angle when taken, film type, and any other facts you feel I need to know. Click my avatar for email link.

I am not a expert but you are welcome to forward it to me and I will be happy to look at it and let you know my opinion. I am a paranormal investigator, but I am located in Colorado.

“East Coast” is terribly vague…lol. I am a paranormal investigator and a professional photographer…always willing to help out. If you tell me where on the east coast, I can hook you up with someone in your area. I’m on the east coast in New England, but from Maine to Florida leaves an awful lot of room.

all you have to do is get online and search for a group near you. You didnt say where on the east coast, what it was about other than one picture and finally whether you are personally involved in the haunting or if it is a randon picture. That means everything when your investigating. If you were to call me and say, I have a pic of a ghost can you help me, I would only come out if it were something that was on going and can legally be accessed. But if you were to tell me, I was at such and such place and took a pic, now i want you to investigate. I am afraid I would be telling you, bring me more proof!
You would have to tell me where you were at. What were the conditions at the time of the pic. What camera equipment were you using. Send me your pic, let me look at it to see if its worth spending time over.
Any paranormal group thats worth a darned is gonna ask you these questions and so will any skeptic. they arent gonna come running just because. get your facts together before you call anyone and beware of anyone that doesnt ask you these questions and more, you want professionals not a bunch of thrill seeking individuals.

If the photo is available online, let me know and I’ll gladly take a look at it. Otherwise, there are possibly some groups on the eastcoast that I can recommend.

There should be plenty in St. Augustine, Fl….since they are renowned for ghostly phenomenon. I’m not familiar with any groups there, but surely they have sites online .Lots of these things seem to happen in Fl. I often wonder why.

What ever you do don’t ask anyone at “TAPS”….! They’ll just think that its dust!Especially Jay.I have some amazing photos of orbs that cannot be anything but true proof that there is something more than dust out there. these photos are of a cemetery that is ancient and there are other pictures from a cemetery that is being moved,an when I asked if they where unhappy, they let us know in almost every shot that was taken were the graves had been moved. In the middle where a life size cross with Jesus on it,was a great horned owl watching us…..those pictures showed no owl or flashes?I believe in asking permission, and always ask for my higher power to guide us through each photo shoot.I also believe they appear in many forms…good luck an don’t change your beliefs for anyone who’s afraid of what they cant see themselves.negatives don’t lie,nor do the people who want you to capture there energy in any form. blessed be!

You actually have a couple of issues here. The first being you didn’t mention anything about any other paranormal experiences. A lone photo isn’t much to base an investigation on, assuming you want one. If you ARE having other experiences then you need to start a diary of them. Note who, what, where and when. You need to show an ongoing history of happenings. That will give the investigative team something to actually base their investigation on. A single anomalous photo is about 99.9% of the time just a trick of light, flash, camera strap, hair, dust, double exposure..etc. Sorry, but that’s the way it goes. Especially with no other activity. You say it is amazing. What is so amazing about it?
Another thing, there are no professionals or experts in this field. Be careful of anyone that says they are.
If you truely want to know what is in the photo or how it happened you should contact either the film manufacturer or the camera manufacturer in the case of digitals. They know what effects their equipment in what way and can tell very easily if it is normal or faked. A GOOD paranormal investigator will only look at it and tell you if he/she knows of any normal explanations. They will never tell you that you have captured a ghost. How can they? They weren’t there when you took the picture and don’t know what conditions it was taken under or what was done with it afterwords.
If you want to upload it to the ghost_scene_investigation group I will take a look at it for you but under the above caveates.
To find a group in your area do a google or yahoo search. There are hundreds of groups out there.

Call up T.A.P.S
They’ll travel anywhere in the country for free to investigate stuff like that. They’re also different than most investigators because they try to disprove hauntings. They have great equipment and a great team of people investigating places.
Hope this helps!
