If Ghosts Are Real, Why, Then Don’t We See Ghosts Of Animals And Insects? In Fact, You Would?

think that the most haunted places on earth would not be in some mansion where someone died 150 years ago. No, the most haunted places would be where there are the most deaths, especially tragic deaths. A chicken slaughter house would be a great candidate, where literally thousands of chickens are murdered each day. How about in some parts of the ocean, where thousands of fish were murdered (caught by fishing nets by commercial fishers). We should see so many ghosts of fish that we couldn’t avoid them. But what do people always claim to see? A lone human ghost, usually from the late Victorian era. WTF?

  • I don’t claim to have ever seen a ghost, but I do believe in them. Too many weird things have happened to me. In addition, professionals who are trained observers have seen them and reported them at the risk of being perceived as nuts.
People HAVE reported seeing ghosts of animals, but they appear to only be the more advanced animals such as horses, cats and dogs. There are ghosts of a few wild animals such as bears and wolves that have been reported in my state. Considering that the area where these sightings were made were devoid of both bears and wolves for 100 years, it’s entirely possible that they didn’t mistake a living one for the ghost image.
Divers have reported ghosts of octopus and dolphin. They are pretty high up on the intelligence scale. However, there are few divers, so sightings would be pretty limited.
My theory is that the only ghosts are those of highly intellectual species. Outside of mammals, really only a few birds would fall into that category and in fact, there have been reportings of crows and ravens (considered to have problem solving level thinking) as ghosts.
As far as human ghosts from the late Victorian era, well, you just haven’t examined ghost stories from other areas and have just fixated on the Victorian period. Lots of castles report ghosts dating from 1400-1600s. There are a few places who have reported ghosts of Roman soldiers during a time when the area was occupied. That would take it back to anywhere between 50 BC and 80 AD. My area has mostly ghosts that date from the 1920s and 30s. There are reported sightings of Nat.American Indians, but I don’t know what the dating estimates are.
I can honestly say though, the squirrels who have lost their lives to our electrical transformer did not leave ghostly lives behind to taunt us. This, despite their problem solving skills intended to thwart even the most advanced squirrel deterring birdfeeder.

  • First, I don’t believe in “ghosts” as in the spirits of the departed, because I don’t believe that the spirits of the departed stick around here on earth, they are either in paradise or a holding place until judgment.
However, playing along here… if I did believe in ghosts I suppose I would say that many people don’t believe animals have souls, therefore no soul to wander around as ghost.
Also, I have heard people talk of seeing ‘animal ghosts”… but I don’t believe that either.

  • Good questions. I’ve heard it said that places are not hunted, people are. Also most people will only see what they want to see or are influenced to see. I had some experiences in my own home seeing human-like and animal-like specters; insects, not so much. Being able to provide physical evidence for my sightings and experiences, not so successful but I wish I could. Pets–cats, dogs and horses especially–are very good at spotting something we humans can not see since they have more rods and cones in their eyes than us and can see on other light wavelengths than us.

  • one argument is that animals other than humans do not have souls. also the idea is that a ghost is just a soul of a person who has unfinished business. another thing is that there are claims of ghosts that are animals, not many, but there are some.
oh and to the DEMON claims, i have a question. i know i will get many thumbs down but this is a legitimate question because i don’t understand. why is the phrase “the father, the son, and the holy GHOST” used if ghosts are demons?

  • I thought that too once.
Humans are animals too and such.
So, thinking about it this was seems to disprove the human ghost claims.

  • Oh but according to Xtians animals don’t have souls, so this can’t be. Only humans matter to them.

  • You don’t need to try and disprove ghosts, because no-one has proved them in the first place.

  • Since your are attempting to use logic, i use logic.
    Ghost do not exist.

  • no such thing as ghosts. They are demons.

  • There are no dead people that get to be “ghosts”. There are demons that can pretend to be “ghosts”, in order to try and deceive people.
Demons ALWAYS mean harm, destruction, and death to people. And only JESUS can stop demons.
The truth is that death brings IMMEDIATE heaven or hell, depending ONLY on whether you believe in Jesus alone for salvation or not.
Heaven is eternal joy with the Lord! :D
Hell is eternal torment. Nobody has to be sent to hell. So to be in heaven and not hell, believe in Jesus alone for salvation now! :)
Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! :D
Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus alone to save you! It is impossible to lose or “leave” salvation (John 6:39-40, 1 John 5:13).
The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell, is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you will be in heaven, no matter what!
