Any of Stephen King’s older stuff like Pet Semetary or The Shinning. His more recent stuff is kinda macabre, you know, the kinda stuff that just messes with your head. His son, Joe Hill, is also a fantastic writer. I recently read Heart Shaped Box by him and it was a really good ghost story. Good luck.
