Do Anyone Know A Real Ghost Story Or Experience Please Tell Me?
If you want to read real ghost stories, then you need to check out The Shadowlands. There are thousands of true stories and lists of places that are reported to be haunted. As for myself, I have had a couple of encounters in my life. The first was when I was younger. I was at the lake by my house, early evening, there was no one around by myself and a friend. We had just gotten out of the car and started down toward the lake when we saw a blue mist rising from the lake. As we got closer, we noticed that it was taking shape. As we neared the edge of the water, the mist turned to face us, to our surprise it was a woman, so to speak. She looked as though she was from a different era, clothing looked real vintage circa 1800′s. We gasped as we did not know what we were actually seeing. All of the sudden, she just disappeared as quick as she appeared. After talking with some of the elders of the town, we found out that around 1840 a woman was killed on the lake by her lunitic husband while boating with her 2 yr old son who also died that day. She has been seen every now and then since they say she searches for her son who drowned. She was nicknamed “The Blue Lady” by the elders years and years ago.

I know this sounds really stupid, but me and my best friend were at my uncle’s house. It was built a long time ago, I think it was 1860 or 1865. We had to spend the night there and we had to be alone until like 3:00 in the morning, I can’t remeber why. Well, before he left, he said that if we got bored, we could get a game from up in the attic. So it was around 10:00 P.M and we decided to go get a game. His attic wasn’t creepy or anything, so we grabed a game and headed back to the stairs when we noticed this really little door, like half the size of a regular door. His house was really big and we thought the attic was a little small for the house. We decided to go in. We were afraid that the door would close on us, so we proped it open. We got into the tiny room and it didn’t have anything in it so we decided to go back out when the door slam shut and we couldn’t open it! We screamed and kicked the door. Then we gave up and started crying. Then we heard a young girl’s laugh, like a five year old. Then the door slowly opened. We ran down stairs to see if we could catch who did it, but no one was there! We waited for my uncle on the front porch the rest of the night! And I never stayed the night again!

I lived in a haunted house when I was little, they was alot that happened in the house, like seeing things and hearing things and feeling them around you. I remember when we first moved in the house it was in the early fall and I looked at the house and I knew I didn’t like it. It was a two storie house and it had 2 fireplaces in it. When we got all moved in we invited my cousins over to stay the night, we was all setting on the bed and we seen a cat outside the window, we had a yellow sheer curtain up but you could see right threw it. I said look at that cat and the cat was looking at us and all at once the cat smiled at us and we all said did you see that cat smileing and we kept on looking until the cat was gone but inside the house on the curtain it’s like it’s imprint of his smile was still there. We all took off running to the liveing room scared to death. Then later that night I heard noises and I woke my mom up cause i had to go to the bathroom and I was done scared to death of what I was hearing so she got up with me and she said you go first and then I’ll go , im like ok and so I went and then she did while she was in the bathroom I could hear voices and then I was like were is that coming from? asking myself and then I seen a vent and got down to listen and heard it again and then looked inside the vent and seen 3 little girls playing ring around the roses. I knocked on the door were my mom was and I told her what I seen, later on that night I was laying in bed and I layed there in a cold sweat, not wanting to go to sleep being afraid and all then I had the blankets like over my face all but my eyes and I seen a orange light and I kept looking and then it disappeared , I then raised up and wondered were it went thinking it was gone and all at once it came by me and brushed my cheek. I layed back down till I couldn’t hold my eyes open any longer and when morning came I was still thinking about what had happen and I asked my mom when I got up if I had anything on my face and she looks at me and says why is your cheek so red? I knew after she said that, that it was not a dream and that it had happened. alot more happened in the house. but we finally moved and they tore the house down and we found out latter that there was a cemetary under the house were a whole family had died during the war. I know we seen the mother and her 3 little girls and the baby and the husband as well in that house. I know one thing I was so glad when we left that house. .. hope this is what you wanted. .. most would say it’s not true but it’s very true.

My friend used to work in this creepy old house that was turned into a restaurant. He said doors would suddenly swing open and he’d hear strange noises when the place closed for the night. He also swears he locked doors only to find that the lock was undone the next morning. Who knows?

About 10 yrs ago my sister was sleeping over in a friends house , her bedroom was in the attic , my sister woke up around 3 in the morning and seen her friend sitting with her legs dangling out the attic door , she asked her friend was she OK but got no reply from her she said she just had a sad looking face so she asked again still no reply so my sister just turned over and went back to sleep.
In the morning she asked her friend why she didn’t answer her and what was she doing sitting at the attic door a 3 in the morning , her friend replied what you bloody talking about i didn’t get out the bed all night , so she said it to her friend mother it turned out that my sisters friend was a twin but the twin had died at birth and that was who my sister had sore.
well needless to say i haven’t been in that house since she told me that .
my sister always says thought that when she is feeling a bit down in the dumps my nanny always comes and gives her a kiss on the cheek to make her feel better.

True story, so I better get some consideration for the 10 pts.
I was up late around Halloween, several years ago, watching that show A Haunting on the Disc channel. I can’t say for certain but, based on the story and the allegation that Poltergeist was based on a true story, I am willing to bet that this was the “real life” story. Regardless, scary as HELL! House was an old funeral home (and I mean OLD) and this spirit followed the family to school and work, purportedly was the cause for their teenage son’s cancer (which went into remission after the ordeal).
Thee family brought in paranormal experts who had been doing this stuff for a long time, like 20 + years, and by their own admission, had seen a lot of weird things. They came to live in the house to do their tests and observations. One night, one of the guys watching all the monitors and whatnot, heard some weird noises in the basement and went to investigate. He opened the door, saw a demonic figure and was paralyzed by fear. Once he finally was able to move, he slammed the door, went to his things, packed them up, and left the house. He also said he never did any ghost hunting again after that night. WHOA!
One of the underlying themes that these “experts” kept alluding to was the power allegedly given spirits when they are believed in. And I am huddled up in my bed like a scared schoolgirl afraid to hang my feet over the edge of my bed.
The episode ends with a rather hush-hush (apparently) exorcism being done in the house and the family moving. Ok, it’s over, and I am wide awake now. Little bit of adrenaline pumping through me now, so I go to smoke a cigarette in the garage (attatched, through the kitchen, by the basement). The basement door is slightly ajar, and, I’m so not joking, as I walk by, the smoke alarm goes off, not just the chirp, it’s out of batteries, but a full-blown ‘there’s an inferno down there’. I tentatively crept down the steps, didn’t smell any smoke, let alone see any fire, but I couldn’t get the thing to turn off, so I went to take the battery out. I swear, the first thought that went through my head was, “Watch, this thing isn’t even going to have a battery in it…”
Fortunately, it did, and turned off after I took it out, but I thought I had to go clean out my underwear afterwards.

From what I can recall, as a young boy I had two chilling experiances. One of them I can now explain and have a rational answer for but the other remains a mystery and still gives me the shivers.
I was about six or seven at the time and I can still remember every detil to this day. I was sat by the fire at my Nan’s house, which was a small country cottage, it was a long narrow house, and had steps going from the living area down to the dining room, then down again to the kitchen. I was in the living room playing with some marbles in front of the fireplace, all warm. My nan was down in the kitchen. The fireplace was an old fashioned type with wood or coal to fuel it. I was content to be playing with my marbles on the floor, warm by the fire. I specifically remember the strange feeling that I had suddenly gone cold, although I was sat right by the fire. It wasn’t a gradual feeling of becoming cold it was more like a blast of cold air. I turned round to see if the front door had opened but it was still shut. I then remember the fire spitting, and hissing so I shot up and and ran to my Nan in the other room, she quickly calmed me and I soon forgot the event and remained in the kitchen with her for a short period. I later went back into the living room, feeling relaxed and had probably half forgotten about the weird incident. I went to gather my marbles from the floor in front of the fire but to my surprise they had gone. I was not particually freaked out because I thought my nan may have moved them to tidy the room up. I jogged back to her and asked where she had put them. She had no idea what I was talking about, she had remained in the kitchen all the time, she had not been into the living room since I had joined her. I was puzzled as to where they had gone, I thought they may have rolled off somewhere as I got up to the kitched, so I hastily looked every where I could, under the couch, under the TV, under the rugs. They were nowhere to be seen! I was puzzled but it didn’t particually scare me too much, the time came for bed.
The next morning, I had risen first and was in the garden for some reason and to my surprise and shock I felt something hit me on the back of my leg. I turned round and saw one of my marbles, I looked about to see who threw it but there was literally nobody about, I was the only person in the garden. I bent down and picked it up and it was warm. It was as if it had been put in hot water, had heated up and then taken out. I was really scared at this point. My nan was awake by the time I was back indoors and I explained to her, the situation the night before as well as what had happened in the garden. She was her usual self; calm and reassuring, saying I was imagining it. She probably though I was pulling a childish prank. I was visably shaken and was feeling reall scred. I had always been intrigued by ghost stories that friends had told, always believing them and hoping maybe I would encounter something paranormal. My imaginaion was going wild. But I kept it to myself and went home that day still feeling quite freaked out.
Later hat day my Mum had got off the pone to my Nan and asked me why I had put all my marbles in the fire? This really shook me up. Apparently my Nan was cleaning out the remains if the burned out fire and came across my 10 or so marbles amongst the ash!!
To this day I have no answer and all I can say is that it has to be parnormal, I have often thought about that incident and it still plays on my mind. The fact that one minute I was happy playing with theses marbles, the next an eerie shiver and coldness went through my body. Then these marbles dissappered, only to be found the next day inside the fire itself, as for being hit on the back of my leg with one?! WTF?!
Scary ey. Nebody have any answers pls?
Oh the other experiance which really freaked me out…
I was half asleep yet half awake as a child one night and couldn’t move at all.My eyes were open and I JUST COULDN’T MOVE. I know know that it was sleep paralasis and happens to alot of ppl. But it still really scared me!!
Scary ey………

My Aunt and Uncle used to live in a flat above an antique shop, and had a few unusual experiences whilst there. And when they left to move elsewhere, another Aunt and Uncle moved in.
One night there was a loud crash in the bedroom, and the laundry basket was over turned (with all the washing still in it) in the middle of the bedroom floor. Another time, they awoke to find their wedding rings in the bed next to each other, and neither of them could get them off their fingers before. Another Aunt went to visit, and there was a cupboard in the corner off the main room, that could only be opened by my Uncle, as the latches were so stiff; whilst she was sitting there, the latches lifted, and the cupboard opened on it’s own; needless to say, she fled, and never returned.
I was told of a ‘bump’ that used to appear under the large rug in the main room, almost as if a mouse was under it, and it would move around on its own.
As I was only a youngster at the time, I used to be put for a nap on my Aunts bed sometimes, and I have a vague recollection of the three drawers of her dressing table, opening on their own, one after the other, and of a young girl dressed in Victorian clothes standing by the bed watching me.
