Anyone Know Any Good Supernatural Books To Read?

I have nearly finished the series i am reading, but i don’t know what to read over summer. I like anything supernatural like vampires, werewolves, witches etc. Any ideas.

  • Try the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series by L. Hamilton. Only the first 6 books are really good. Also Charlaine Harris has 2 good supernatural series–Sookie Stackhouse, Southern Vampire (main character a psychic who gets involved with vampires) and her Harper Connely books-Grave Sight and Grave Surprise. The last I suggested is the most “realistic”–both the other series include vampires and shape shifters but Harper is just a regular girl with a weird talent.
Here’s a review of Grave Surprise:
After Harper Connelly was struck by lightning as a teenager, she developed an unusual ability–she is able to locate bodies and see how the victims died, although she cannot identify the murderers. Harper and her stepbrother, Tolliver Lang, are at Bingham College doing a demonstration for a class, identifying bodies and causes of death in an old graveyard, when Harper finds the body of Tabitha Morgenstern, a kidnapped young girl she had failed to locate months ago. To clear their names–the police consider Harper and Tolliver suspects in the crime–they set out to find the real killer. Harper and Tolliver are likable, well-developed characters whose unhappy past binds them together as they care for one another and work together. Harper craves normalcy as she wonders whether her talent is a gift or a curse. The supernatural elements are integrated believably into the plot in this engrossing mystery, the second in a series.

  • Maximum Ride series by James Patterson (Very fast-paced. Regarding four ‘experimental beings’ who escape from the lab that they were created in to try and find freedom and answers)
Also try Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones (About Sophie who try to find her fortunes when she’s cursed into an old woman, the characters were very memorable, its a mix of fantasy, romance, mystery)
Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer. (About a boy-genius who finds an underground world of fairies and tries to blackmail them into giving him fairy-gold)
Fablehaven by Brandon Mull. Two teens find out that their grandparents’s farm is actually a safe haven for fairy-tale creatures except that the creatures are trying to escape.
Eragon by Christopher Paolini. Its a trilogy set back in time about a boy who becomes a dragon rider. Very long, almost a thousand pages I think.
Discworld by Terry Prachett, you have to read it. Its for fantasy lovers.
Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan (about a boy ho finds out he’s the son of Zeus and many other Gods are trying to kill him and he sort of has to figure out a prophecy)
